DECREE 54 of 1969
A DECREE TO AMEND THE MONETARY AND BANKING PROCLAMATION, 1963

WHEREAS, it is Our desire to establish conditions which will foster and encourage the further economic development of of Our Empire; and

WHEREAS, the planned economic development of Our Empire urgently requires an immediate strengthening of the monetary and banking facilities available to the Government ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 92 of Our Revised Constitution, and upon the advice of Our Council of Ministers, We hereby decree as follows:
Proclamation (Amendment) Decree, 1969 " and shall be read as one with the Monetary and Banking Proclamation No. 206 of 1963, hereinafter referred to as the " Proclama tion. "
The Proclamation is hereby amended as follows:
(a) In Section (3) of Article 13 the words " fifteen per cent (15%) " shall be deleted and replaced by the words " twenty per cent (20%) ".
(b) In Section (6) of Article 13 the words " fifty per cent (50%) of the sum of the capital and the General Reserve Fund of the Bank " shall be deleted and re placed by the words " twelve and a half percent (12%) of the ordinary revenues collected during the preceding fiscal year of the Government ".
