WHEREAS, the University of Asmara was instituted by cember 1958, and officially inaugurated by Us on the 26th
WHEREAS, it is our desire to stimulate and encourage private initiative in the field of education to supplement the efforts and activities of Our Government ;
NOW, THEREFORE, We hereby grant and declare this
1. Short Title: This Charter may be cited as the " Univer sity of Asmara Charter. "
2. Definitions: In this Charter the use of the masculine pronoun shall refer to persons of both sexes and, unless the context otherwise requires:
" Academic Authorities " shall mean the Academic Authorities of the University listed under Article 7 of this Charter ;
(2) " Academic Commission " shall mean the Academic Commission of each Faculty or College of the Uni versity established under Article 15 of this Charter ;
