REGULATIONS ISSUED PURSUANT TO THE GOVERNMENT BONDS PROCLAMATION of 1961

These Regulations are issued by the Minister of Finance pursuant to authority vested in him by Article 8 of the Government Bonds Proclamation of 1961.
These Regulations may be cited as the " Savings Bonds Regulations, 1968. "
Savings Bonds of 1968 shall be issued in the total prin cipal face value of Eth. $ 6,000,000 and shall have the following characteristics:

(a) their date of issue shall be 11th September 1968
(b) their date of maturity shall be 10th September 1978 (5th Pagime 1970) ;
(c) they shall bear interest at the rate of six and one half percent (61%) per annum from the date of issue, payable semi - annually in arrears on the last me each year ;
(d) they shall be issued in denomination of one hund red (100) Ethiopian dollars ;
(e) they shall be numbered consecutively; (f) they shall be coupon Bonds ;
(g)
they shall be bearer Bonds ;
(h) they shall bear the facsimile signatures of the Mi nister of Finance and the Treasurer General of the
(i) they shall be printed in both Amharic and English and shall be in such form as the Minister of Finance shall determine.
