OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 5 Year No. 54 ADDIS ABABA- 8 June , 1999 CONTENTS Proclamation 171/1999 Commercial Registration ( Amendment ) Proclamation Business Licensing Page 1052 PROCLAMATION NO . 171/1999 A PROCLAMATION TO AMEND THE COMMERCIAL REGISTRATION AND BUSINESS LICENSING PROCLAMATION WHEREAS , it has become necessary to amend the Commerical Registration and Business Licensing Proclamation ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 ( 1 ) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : Shert Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Commercial Registration and Business Licensing ( Amendment ) Proclamation No. 17 1/1999 . ” Amendment The Commercial Registration and Business Licensing Proclamation No. 67/1997 is hereby amended as follows : 1 ) Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 25 , if a business license issued by a regional bureau has not been renewed , such renewal is hereby authorized until April 8 of the year 2000 . 2 ) The clause “ ... within 24 months from the coming into force of this Proclamation ... ” in the sentence of Article 33 is hereby deleted and replaced by “ ... within 36 months from the coming into force of this Proclamation , ... ” 3.
