Page 2941 PROCLAMATION N042 / 2004 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE LOAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE ARAB BANK FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA WHEREAS , a Loan Agreement , between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa stipulating that the Arab ፌዴራላዊ | Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia a loan amount of USD for financing the Kibre Mengist Town Water Supply project , was signed in Addis Ababa on 9th day of July , 2004 ; WHEREAS , basic economic international agreements have to be ratified prior to entry into force ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives day of November , 2004 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 proclaimed as follows : Unit Price The African Law Archive 2 November , 2004 Page . 2942 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa Loan Agreement for financing the Kibre Mengist Town Water Supply Project Ratification Proclamation No. 426/2004 . ” 2. Definition In this Proclamation “ Loan Agreement ” means the Loan Agreement signed between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa on the 9th day of July , 2004 . 3. Power of the Minister of Finance and Economic Development The Minister of Finance and Economic Development is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the utilization of the Loan amount of ( USD 6,240,000 ) six million and two hundred forty thousand USD ) in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Loan Agreement . 4. Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force on the 2nd day of November , 2004 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 2nd day of November , 2004 .
