Regulations Issued Pursuant to the Church Administration Order, 1967

These Regulations are issued by the Ecclesiastical Council pursuant to authority vested in it by paragraph 2 of Article 2, paragraph 7 of Article 3 and Article 4 of the Church Administration Order, 1967 (Order No. 48 of 1967).
These Regulations may be cited as the " Definition of the Powers and Duties of the General Manager Regulations,
executive of the secular administration of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, subject to the direction and control of the Patriarch and the Ecclesiastical Council.
4.
The General Manager shall, without any limitation to the generality of the foregoing:
(1) direct the management and operation of the Head Of. fice, its departments, and branch offices ;
(2) ensure the proper execution of the decisions and direc tives of the Ecclesiastical Council ;

(3) collect Church revenues and ensure the collection of same ;
(4) sell or exchange immovable property with the approval of the Ecclesiastical Council ;
(5) borrow money not exceeding One Hundred Thou sand Ethiopian Dollars (Eth. $ 100,000), and / or mortgage immovable property up to the same amount ;
(6) lease for a period not exceeding five (5) years ;
