PROCLAMATION No. 126 OF 1977
A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN AUDIT SERVICE CORPORATION
WHEREAS, in order to audit properly the accounts of production, distribution and service giving organizations of the Government or in which the Government has majority share holding, it is necessary to strengthen audit services ;
WHEREAS, to this end it is necessary that an organization be established ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 5 (6) of the Redefinition of the Powers and Responsibilities of the Provisional Military Administration Council and the Council of Ministers Proclamation No. 110/1977, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Audit Service Corporation Proclamation No. 126/1977 ”.
2. Establishment
There is hereby established an Audit Service Corporation (hereinafter referred to as " the Corporation ") as an auto nomous Government organ having juridical personality of its own.
3. Head Office
The Corporation shall have its head office in Addis Ababa and may establish branch offices wherever it deems it appropriate.
