OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 5 Year No. 42 ADDIS ABABA - 4th March , 1999 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 161/1999 Ethio - Malaysia Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation Page 1006 PROCLAMATION NO . 161/1999 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE ETHIO - MALAYSIA TRADE AGREEMENT WHEREAS , an Agreement on Trade between the Govern ment of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of Malaysia was signed in Kuala Lumpur on the 22nd day of October , 1998 ; WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force when both contracting parties have signed the same and notified each other that all legal requirements for its entry into force have been fulfilled ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 4th day of March , 1999 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 sub Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as “ Ethio - Malaysia Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 161/1999 . ” 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Ethio - Malaysia Agreement on Trade signed in Kuala Lumpur on the 22nd day of October , 1998 is ratified . Unit Price The African Law Archive 3. Power of the Executive Organ The Ministry of Trade and Industry is hereby empowered to implement the Agreement . 4.
