WHEREAS, it is appropriate that an independent
Government - owned radio and television facilities, to promote the expansion of such facilities, to ensure that they render the maximum services to the nation.

WHEREAS, the rapid growth of all communications media is essential to the continued education and enlighten ment of Our People; and
WHEREAS, radio and television have demonstrated particular merit as educational and informational services for the entire Ethiopian people; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 27 of Our Revised Constitution, and on the advice of Our Council of Ministers, We hereby order as follows:
This Order may be cited as the " Ethiopian Broad casting Service Order, 1968. "
