November , 2000 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 221/2000 Ethio - Sudan Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation Page 1429 PROCLAMATION NO . 221/2000 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE TRADE AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SUDAN WHEREAS , an Agreement , on Trade , between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Republic of the Sudan was signed in Khartoum , Sudan , on the 6th day of March , 2000 ; WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the the Governments of the contracting parties have notified each other that their constitutional requirements for the entry into WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of Article 55 of the Constitution , it is hereby 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Ethio - Sudan Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 221/2000 ” . Power of the Ministry of Trade and Industry The Ministry of Trade and Industry is hereby empowered to implement the Agreement .
