A PROCLAMATION TO AMEND THE PUBLIC SERVANTS PENSION PROCLAMATION OF 1963

In accordance with Article 6 of the Definition of Powers of the Provisional Military Administration Council and its Chair man Proclamation, No. 2 of 1974, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Public Servants ' Pension (Amendment) Proclamation No. 5 of 1974 ".
2. Amendment
The Public Servants ' Pension Proclamation, Proclamation No. 209 of 1963 is amended as follows:
1. Sub - articles (1) and (2) of Article 4 are deleted and replaced by the following new Sub - articles (1) and (2): " 4. Retirement Pension
(1) A public servant, other than a member of the Armed Forces, who:
a) has completed at least ten (10) years of service, and
retires on attaining the retirement are of fity - five (55) years ;
ii) is retired because he does not fulfill the medical conditions of services; or
iii) is retired because of inefficiency at the request of the head of the Ministry or Office concerned and by the decision of a committee to be set up by the Government; or
