A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ETHIOPIAN TOURISM COMMISSION

WHEREAS, tourism creates and fosters, through cultural contact and exchange of values, mutual understanding and good will among the various nationalities of Ethiopia and
WHEREAS, since the tourism industry is a source of revenue, its expansion will contribute to the economic deve WHEREAS, the tourism industry can make a concrete contribution to the building of the country in line with the National Democratic Revolution Programme only when it is directed and expanded in a coordinated and efficient manner ;
WHEREAS, benefits from the tourism industry can best be tapped by the establishment of a body that specializes in the same ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 5 (6) of the Redefinition of Powers and Responsibilities of the Provisional Military Administrative Council and the Council of Ministers Proclamation No. 110/1977, it is hereby pro claimed as follows:
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Ethiopian Tourism Commission Establishment Proclamation No. 182/1980 ”.
2. Definitions
In this Proclamation, unless the context otherwise requires:
