PROCLAMATION No. 107/1976
A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF ROAD TRANSPORT
WHEREAS, in accordance with the social and economic
Road Transport Authority in order to develop efficient and expanded read transport service ;
WHEREAS, in order to establish and manage coordinated and improved technical services of road transport activities and to generally guide and control road transport services efficiently and systematically, it has been found necessary to replace the Proclamation of 1976 ;
WHEREAS, road transport is the artery to the economic development of the country and so plays an important role among the other transport and communications sector services ;
WHEREAS, in accordance with Ethiopia's guiding philo sophy of Hibrettesebawinet, it is found necessary to establish and manage the transport and communications sector in a more coordinated and harmonious manner ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 6 of the Definition of Powers of the Provisional Military Administration Council and its Chairman Proclamation No. 2/1974, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
