Coffee Surtax (Amendment) Regulations
LEGAL NOTICE No. 66 OF 1979 REGULATIONS ISSUED TO FURTHER AMEND THE COFFEE SURTAX REGULATIONS OF 1964
1. Issuing Authority
These Regulations are issued by the Minister of Finance pursuant to authority vested in him by Article 5 (a) of the Customs and Export Duties Proclamation, 1943, as. amended.

2. Short Title
These Regulations may be cited as the " Coffee Surtax (Amendment) Regulations No. 66/1979. ”
3. Amendment
The Coffee Surtax Regulations, 1964, as amended, " (Le gal Notice No. 280 of 1964), is hereby further amended as follows:
Article 4 is deleted and replaced by the following new Article 4:
“ 4. There shall be charged, levied and collected a sur tax as defined under Article 5 hereof on all coffee ex ported from Ethiopia, based on the composite daily pri ce pursuant to the International Coffee Agreement 1976, Ex - dock New York, physical market prevailing at the close of business of the last working day, preceding the day of the payment of the surtax. If such a price is not known at the time of payment, the surtax shall be calculated and paid on the basis of the latest price known and shall be adjusted to the correct price. within seven days. "
4. Effective Date
These Regulations shall come into force on the date of
