OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 12 Yea No. 18 ADDIS ABABA – February 17 2006 CONTENTS Regulation No. 122/2006 Tendaho Sugar Factory Establishment Council of Ministers Regulations Page 3389 COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATIONS No. 122/2006 TENDAHO SUGAR FACTORY ESTABLISHMENT COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATIONS These Regulations are issued by the council of Ministers Pursuant to Article 5 of the Definition of powers and duties of The Executive Organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No. 471/2005 and Article 47 ( 1 ) ( a ) of The public Enterprises Proclamation No.25 / 1992 . 1. Short Title These Regulations may be cited as the “ Tendaho Sugar Factory Establishment Council of Ministers Regulations No. 122/2006 ” 2. Establishment 1 ) There is hereby established ' The Tendaho Sugar Factory ( hereinafter the " Enterprise " ) as a public Enterprise . 2 ) The Enterprise shall be governed by the Public Enterprise Proclamation No. 25/1992 . 3. Supervising Authority A body to be designated by the Government shall be the Supervising Authority of the Enterprise . Unite Price The African Law Archive 4. Head Office The Enterprise shall have its head office in Aisaita ( Afar Regional state ) and may have branch offices elsewhere as may be necessary . 5. Objectives The objectives for which the Enterprise is established are the following : 1 ) to grow sugar cane and other sugar yiolding plants ; 2 ) to process and produce sugar , sugar products and sugar by - products ; 3 ) to supply and sell its products in domestic and export markets ; 4 ) to engage in any other related activities necessary for the attainment of its objectives . 6. Capital The authorized capital of the Enterprise is Birr 2.08 billion of which Birr 9.6 million is paid up in cash and in kind . 7. Liability The Enterprise may not be held liable beyond its total asset . African Archives 8. Duration The Enterprise is established for an indefinite duration 9.
