1. Issuing Authority
These Regulations are issued by the Minister of Finance pursuant to authority vested in him under Article 5 (a)
· of the Customs and Export Duties Proclamation, 1943 ,
as amended.
2. Short Title
These Regulations may be cited as the " Coffee Surtax (Amendment) Regulations No. 62/1978 ”.
3. Amendment
The Coffee Surtax Regulations, 1964 (as amended), (Legal Notice No. 280 of 1964), is hereby further amended as follows:
Article 4 is deleted and replaced by the following new Article 4:
" 4 There shall be charged, levied and collected a surtax as defined under Article 5 hereof on all coffee exported from Ethiopia, based on the average price of the five consecutive preceding days from Monday to Friday of the composite daily price pursuant to the International Coffee Agreement, 1976, Ex - dock New York physical market, to be applied during the following seven days. ”
4. Effective Date
These Regulations shall come into force as of the 11th day of September, 1978.
