A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEFINITION OF POWERS OF THE ADDIS ABABA WATER AND SEWERAGE AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, We have established the Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to confer upon it such powers as will enable it to fulfill its purposes ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Articles 34 and 88 of Our Constitution, We hereby approve the resolutions of Our Chamber of Deputies and Senate and We Proclaim as fol lows:
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority Proclamation, 1972. "

2. Definitions
In this Proclamation, unless the context otherwise re quires:
(1) " Authority " shall mean the Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority ;
(2) “ Board ” shall mean the Water and Sewerage Board of the Authority ;
(3) " Catchment area " shall mean any area of land or water, the water from which contributes to the sup ply for any waterworks within the jurisdiction of the Authority ;
