PROCLAMATION NO. 90/1994
A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE TREATY ESTABLISHING THE COMMON MARKET FOR EASTERN AND SOUTHERN AFRICA
WHEREAS, a treaty establishing the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (the Treaty) was signed in Kam pala, Republic of Uganda on the 5th day of November 1993 ;
WHEREAS, the Council of Representatives of the Transi tional Government of Ethiopia has ratified the Agreement ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 9 (d) and (h) of the Transitional Period Charter, it is hereby proclaimed as follows.
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Treaty Establish ing the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Ratification Proclamation No. 90/1994. "
2. Ratification of the Treaty
The Treaty Establishing the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa signed in Kampala, Republic of Uganda on the 5th day of November 1993 is ratified.
