OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 5 Year No. 36 ADDIS ABABA - 9th February 1999 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 156/1999 African Development Fund Loan Agreement for financing the National Livestock Development Project Ratification Proclamation Page 983 PROCLAMATION NO . 156/1999 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE LOAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT FUND WHEREAS , a Loan Agreement , between the Federal ment Fund stipulating that the African Development Fund Account ) for financing the National Livestock Development Project , was signed in Abidjan , on the 20th day of November WHEREAS , basic economic international agreements WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Loan Agreement at its session held on the 9th day of February NOW THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the " African Develop ment Fund Loan Agreement for financing the National Livestock Development Project Ratification Unit Price The African Law Archive - No. 36 99 February , 1999- ~ Page 984 2. Definition In this Proclamation " Loan Agreement " means the Loan Agreement No. F / ETHLVS - DEV / 98 / 41 , signed in Abidjan on the 20 % day of November , 1998 between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Development Fund . 3. Power of the Minister of Finance The Minister of Finance is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the utilisation of the loan amount of UA 27,000,000 ( twenty seven million Units of Account ) in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Loan Agreement . 4. Effective Date This Proclamation shall come into force as of the 9th day of Feburary , 1999 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 9h day of February , 1999 .
