These Regulations are issued by the Minister of Commerce, Industry & Tourism pursuant to authority vested in him by Tourist Organization Order (Order No. 36 of 1964).

Facilities and services catering to tourists shall be classified according to the definitions and standards set forth below:
As used herein, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms shall have the meaning described below: (1) " Tourist " means a traveller who seeks overnight ac commodation or meals, or guidance or assistance in arranging his journey ;
(2) “ Hotel ” means any building or premises containing lodging which are offered to the public in return for
payment ;
(3) “ Resort Hotel ” means any hotel, usually located in a nonurban area, offering facilities for sports and other recreation, in addition to the lodging ;
(4) “ Touring hotel ” means a hotel, usually located along a highway intended chiefly to accommodate those persons travelling about by motor vehicle ;
(5) “ Camping area ” means a tourist establishment offer ing accommodation in tents or similar non - perma nent structures ;
