OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA Ith Year ' No. 36 ADDIS ABABA - 61 February , 2003 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 318/2003 Ethio - Sudan Preferential Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation Page 2105 PROCLAMATION NO . 318/2003 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE ETHIO - SUDAN PREFERENTIAL TRADE AGREEMENT WHEREAS , a Preferential Trade Agreement between Ethiopia and the Government of the Republic of the Sudan was signed in Addis Ababa , on the 25 ' ' day of April , 2002 ; WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force on the last date on which the Governments of the parties have notified each other that their Constitutional requirements for the entry into force of the WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 6th day of February , 2003 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with sub Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of Article 55 of the Constitution , it is hereby Proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Ethio - Sudan Preferential Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 318/2003 . " Unit Price The African Law Archive 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Ethio - Sudan Preferential Trade Agreement signed in Addis Ababa on the 25th day of April , 2002 is ratified . The Ministry of Trade and Industry is hereby empowered to implement the Agreement . 4. Effective Date This Proclamation shall come into force as of the 6 " day of February , 2003 .
