Page 865 COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATIONS NO . 43/1998 COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATIONS TO AMEND THE INCOME TAX REGULATIONS These Regulations are issued by the Council of Ministers pursuant to Article 5 of the Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No.4 / 1995 and Article 8 of the Income Tax Proclamation No.173 / 1961 ( as amended ) . 1. Short Title These Regulations may be cited as the “ Income Tax ( Amendment ) Council of Ministers Regulations No. 43/1998 . ” 2. Amendment Sub - Article ( e ) of Article 4 of the Income Tax Regulations No. 258/1962 as amended , is hereby deleted and replaced by the following new sub - Article ( e ) : “ e . allowances paid to members and secretaries of Boards of Public Enterprises and public bodies as well as to members and secretaries of study groups set up by the Government . " 3. Effective Date These Regualtions shall enter into force as of the 13th day of November , 1998 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 13th day of November , 1998 .
