A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS TO EMPLOYEES OF UNDERTAKINGS OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT

WHEREAS, it is appropriate that certain social welfare measures be taken; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the men and women of our labour force be given protection against the hazards of disability, old - age and death ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 6 of the Definition of Powers of the Provisional Military Administration Council and its Chairman Proclamation No. 2/1974, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Employees of Government - owned Undertakings Pension Proclamation No. 49/1975 ”.
2. Definitions
In this Proclamation unless the context otherwise requires: 1 / " employee " shall mean:
a person who, on the date of transfer of the under taking, is a permanent employee of an agricultu ral, commercial, industrial, transport, banking or insurance undertaking whose ownership or majo rity share holding has been transferred to the Government or a person employed thereafter in any of these undertakings ;
