OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 6 Year No. 24 ADDIS ABABA - 7th March , 2000 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 196/2000 Preferential Trade Area for Eastern and Southern African States Customs Bond Guarantee Agreement Ratification Proclamation Page 1248 PROCLAMATION No. 196/2000 A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE RATIFICATION OF THE CUSTOMS BOND GUARANTEE AGREEMENT OF THE PREFERENTIAL TRADE AREA FOR EASTERN AND SOUTHERN AFRICAN STATES WHEREAS , an Agreement on the Customs Bond Guarantee of the Preferential Trade Area for Eastern and of Swaziland , on the 23rd day of November , 1990 ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Preferential Trade Area for Eastern and Southern African States Customs Bond Guarantee Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 196/2000 . ” 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Preferential Trade Area for Eastern and Southern African States Customs Bond Agreement Signed at Mbabane , the Kingdom of Swaziland , on the 23rd day of November , 1990 , is ratified .
