Page 518 PROCLAMATION NO . 74 / 1997 - A PROCLAMATION TO AMEND THE ETHIOPIAN NEWS AGENCY ESTABLISHMENT PROCLAMATION WHEREAS , it has become necessary to amend the Ethiopian News Agency Establishment Proclamation ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 ( 1 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows 1 . Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Ethiopian News Agency Establishment ( Amendment ) Proclamation NO . 2 . Amendment The Ethiopian News Agency Establishment Proclamation No . 115 / 1995 is amended as follows : 1 ) The following new sub - Article ( 6 ) is added after sub Article ( 5 ) of Article 8 ; “ 6 ) issue directives on the salary scale , employment and administration of journalists as well as the technical staff of the Agency . ” 2 ) Sub - Articles ( 6 ) , ( 7 ) and ( 8 ) of Article 8 are renum bered as sub - Articles ( 7 ) , ( 8 ) and ( 9 ) , respectively . 3 ) Sub - Article ( 3 ) ( b ) of Article 10 is hereby deleted and replaced by the following new sub - Article ( 3 ) ( b ) : “ ( b ) employ and administer as well as fix the salaries and allowances of journalists and the technical staff in accordance with the direc tives issued by the Board ; employ and ad minister the other staff of the Agency in accordance with federal civil service laws . ” Unit Price $ 2 . 30 www .
