Page 258 PROCLAMATION NO . 44 / 1996 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE ETHIO - CHINESE TRADE , ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT WHEREAS , the Agreement on Trade , Economic and Republic of China was signed in Addis Ababa on the 13th day of May , 1996 ; WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force as of the date of its ratification ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 6th day of July , 1996 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Aritcle 55 sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby This Proclamation may be cited as the " Ethio - Chinese Trade , Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement Ratification Proclamation No . 44 / 1996 , " ' The Ethio - Chinese Agreement on Trade , Economic and Technical Cooperation signed in Addis Ababa on the 13thday of May , 1996 is ratified .
