A PROCLAMATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ETHIOPIAN PRIVATIZATION AGENCY

WHEREAS the Economic Policy of the Transitional Period stresses the need for changing the role and participa tion of the State in the economy, in order to revitalize the economy and to create a strong basis for allround future de velopment through sustainable and reliable growth ;
WHEREAS it has become necessary to privatize public enterprises other than those which have to stay under govern ment control in accordance with the Economic Policy ;
WHEREAS to direct and execute such privatization. it is found necessary to establish an autonomous public agency. vested with the necessary powers and duties ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 9 (d) of the Transitional Period Charter, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:
1. Short Title
This Proclamation may be cited as the " Ethiopian Privatization Agency Establishment
Proclamation No.
