OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 6 Year No. 44 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 214/2000 The Investments Promotion and Reciprocal protec tion Agreement with the Government of the Russian Federation Ratification Proclamation Page 1382 PROCLAMATION NO . 214/2000 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE INVESTMENTS PROMOTION AND RECIPROCAL PROTECTION AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION WHEREAS , an Agreement , on the promotion and Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Russian Federation ; was signed in Moscow , on the 10th day of February , 2000 , WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the instruments of ratification through diplomatic channel ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 6'h day of July , 2000 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Investments Promotion and Reciprocal Protection Agreement with the Government of the Russian Federation Ratification Proclamation No. 214/200 . ” Unit Price The African Law Archive No. 44 6 July , 2000 – Page 1383 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Agreement , on Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments , signed in Moscow on the 10 ' day of February , 2000 , hetween the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Govern ment of the Russian Federation , is ratified . 3. Power of the Ethiopian Investment Authority The Ethiopian Investment Authority is hereby em powered to implement the Agreement . 4. Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 6th day of July , 2000 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 6 " day of July , 2000 .
