OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 5 Year No. 37 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 157/1999 The State of Kuwait Air Transport Services Agreement Ratification Proclamation Page 985 PROCLAMATION NO.157 / 1999 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE AIR TRANSPORT SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE STATE OF KUWAIT WHRREAS , an Air Transport Services Agreement between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Kuwait was signed in Kuwait on the 26 " day of October , 1998 ; WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall come into force on the first day of the month from the date of the last notification , through diplomatic channels , of the completion of the respective constitutional formalities of the contracting parties , con cerning the conclusion and implementation of inter national agreements ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 9th day of February , 1999 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This proclamation may be cited as the “ State of Kuwait Transport Services Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 157/1999 . ” Unit Price The African Law Archive - No. 37 9 February , 1999 - Page 986 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Air Transport Services Agreement signed in Kuwait on the 26th day of October , 1998 between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Kuwait is hereby ratified . 3. Power of the Minister of Transport and Communications The Minister of Transport and Communications is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the implementation of the Agreement . 4. Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 9th day of February , 1999 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 9th day of February , 1999 .
